SkyeTec Named One of United States' Fastest Growing Companies

Entrepreneur Magazine named local firm #314 on annual Hot 500 list.

 Jacksonville, FL (8/8/2007) Entrepreneur Magazine recognized SkyeTec, a Jacksonville-based building and environmental consultant, on its annual Hot 500 List late last week.  The list, compiled in concert with the national business researcher the Corporate Research Board, names the 500 fastest growing companies in the United States based on revenue growth since 2002.  SkyeTec, which ranked 314th, was one of few businesses in Florida and the only Jacksonville, FL-based environmental services firm named on the list.

 According to Entrepreneur Magazine, less than one percent of the 19 million US businesses qualify for the list.  The Hot 500 winners represent every area of the contiguous United States in industries ranging from pharmaceutical researchers to banks and manufacturing firms. SkyeTec increased revenue by 435 percent since 2002.

"Appearing on the Hot 500 list is an honor," said SkyeTec CEO Chris Uhland. "2007 has been a pivotal year for SkyeTec, and this is especially rewarding, at a time when the residential building market is so unstable. It is a testament to our employees and customesr that we continue to grow and find success, and as such we are looking forward to the upcoming years with anticipation.

SkyeTec was the highest ranked environmental consultant on the list against eight other corporations in the “environmental solutions” category. The “Construction” category was the largest category with 92 entrants. “Business Services” and “Technology” rounded out the categories with the most entrants. The fastest growing company on the list was San Diego-based video production company DivX—founded in 2000 with current revenue of almost $60 million.
