Make Sure Your Water Mitigation Claims are On Track

The WEM Express Calculator provides immediate, preliminary feedback of water mitigation scope of work efforts in the form of an approximate result for FLOOD CLAIMS. The inter-relationships between water damage square footage, dehumidification capacity, and number of air movers are based on averages derived from LTS’ extensive, proprietary Water Mitigation database. Results should not be solely relied upon for final claim invoice reconciliation purposes.  For a more intensive, loss-specific evaluation, LTS professionals provide desk audits.

For calculator use, input the estimated size of the water damaged area (square feet) along with the average ceiling height (feet & inches). Then input the daily number of dehumidifier, negative air and air mover units in use. Please use the gross square feet for the loss, not individual rooms.

The calculator will determine if the dehumidification capacity and number of air movers is reasonable or excessive based on industry guidelines and practices. For the mitigation of flood waters, the use of negative air/scrubber is not an accepted practice; therefore, if any units are in use this will be indicated.
